Belfast, Northern Ireland

On our previous visit to Belfast we did the top 2 (in my opinion) activities – the Titanic Experience and a Black Cab tour. Today we did the 4 compass points of Belfast.

The shuttle bus took us all the way from the port into the centre of town. Armed with our tourist map and all day bus ticket our first destination was north to Belfast Castle on the no.1 pink double decker bus.

We have been here before but decided to go back to find the 9 cats of luck. Mission completed it was time for a coffee and then a walk back to catch the no.1 bus.

Back in the city centre it was a short walk to catch the no.8 pink double decker bus. This time our direction was south to the Ulster Museum.

As we left the museum it had started to rain. It is Ireland after all! We headed back into the city centre again. This time it was time to swap the pink double decker buses for a purple glider bus – the G1. We headed west for a return visit to the peace wall.

Still not hard to tell which side of the wall you are on – red, white & blue.

From the peace wall we walked back into the city centre. The rain had really set in by now so it was time to catch the shuttle bus back to the ship.
