For Mark and me, no visit to Sydney is complete without a trip over to Manly on the ferry. The day had started very foggy and a bit on the cool side, but we decided to proceed with our Manly visit. It did not disappoint! It was sunny and our jumpers were soon off as we walked the path around the foreshore. We had time for a quick coffee before heading back to the city.

Our next activity was a new experience – a virtual escape room. Each of us was placed into our own 3m x 3m padded room. Wasn’t really keen on that idea at first, but once we had the VR equipment on it did feel like we were all together in the same room as we could hear each other and see our ‘ virtual ‘ selves. Although it was called an escape room it was more like a cooperative video game. We chose ‘Time Travel – chapter 1’. We were ‘teleported’ to 4 different time period themes – medieval, space travel, early Eygpt and dinosaur. In each environment we were given 8 minutes to find and work out how to use equipment to help us complete a mission. Happy to say we had a 100% success rate.

The rest of the afternoon and evening was spent on a journey around the Inner West Ale trail. With the visit to Young Henry’s the day before we managed to visit 6 of the 13 craft breweries on the trail this visit. Visiting the other 7 will have to be a challenge conquered on another visit.
