Sydney – Day 2

After our late night at Vivid we decided a little sleep-in was warranted before getting into our Friday. Sydney had turned on a beautiful sunny day and we were down to short sleeves for our walk to Pyrmont and beyond.

Our destination was Big Swing Golf in Stanmore. After our big walk we fuelled up with coffee and a donut before taking on the virtual golf course.

Happy National Donut Day!

Mark was the overall winner and Jake declared himself outright winner by winning the last ‘Golden Hole’. I was just happy to have a win on one hole.

Golf finished we walked to Young Henry’s brewery for a drink. With well over 10000 steps clocked for the day, we decided that a bus back to the city had been earned.

That evening Jake had organised for us to go out to dinner with Siobhan and her parents at an Indian restaurant called ‘Don’t Tell Aunty’. We had the Chef’s Banquet. It started with 3 entrees. The first one I nick-named ‘Indian Nachos’, followed by spicy cauliflower bites and Tandoori chicken. This was followed by a Happy Shot. I am kicking myself for not getting a photo, but it was a crispy little ball with edible flowers on the top. You put it in your mouth whole as it was filled with mint yoghurt and dissolved instantly in your mouth.

For main course everyone got their own platter with 6 different curries, rice, raita, naan and pappadums. You could ask for as many individual refills as you liked – but I struggled to finish what was on my original plate. After the dessert we all waddled out the door!
